Geosynthetics 2009 was a huge success!
More than 820 people visited with 86 exhibitors and exchanged ideas, learned new applications and gained cost effective solutions using geosynthetic technologies a variety of applications. Attendees selected from an impressive array of education including 76 papers presented at 22 technical sessions, five short courses, two special sessions, and three impressive keynote addresses. Keynote speaker David Paul, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation offered a look to the future on Feb 25, 2009 with his presentation, “30 years of geosynthetics – what may be in store for the next 30 years?” Keynote speaker J.P. Giroud took to the keynote podium Feb 26, 2009 with his presentation, “Criteria for geotextile and granular filters.” Keynote speaker John Volk, URS completed the keynote series on Feb 27, 2009 with his presentation, “The ground is moving – geotechnical and geosynthetic design challenges on the I-15 and Woodrow Wilson Bridte mega-projects.” Click here for a look back at Geosynthetics 2009
